Terms of service

These are the terms you agree to when you place an order with Nametag Ninja. They are written plainly on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email and ask before you order rather than after.

Everything we make is custom

Every tag carries your logo and somebody’s name. It has no value to anyone else and cannot be resold, so custom items are not refundable and cannot be returned once they have been made.

Before anything is made you get a proof, and you can ask for as many changes as you like at no charge. That is the point at which to say something is wrong.

Approving a proof is final

When you approve a proof you are confirming the layout, the spelling, the titles, the size and the options. We make exactly what is on the approved proof.

If we make something that does not match the proof you approved, that is our mistake and we remake it at our cost. If the approved proof itself contained an error, a misspelled name or a wrong title, we will remake those tags at a reduced price, but we cannot do it for nothing.

Names and spelling are yours

We print the names exactly as you send them, including capitalisation and punctuation. We do not correct spelling, because we have no way to know whether "Jon" is a typo or a name. Please read every name on the proof.

Colour

Sublimation puts dye into the surface of the material, so the colour underneath affects the result. The same logo prints slightly differently on brushed gold, brushed silver, white metal and plastic. Screens also vary: the colour on your monitor is not necessarily the colour on your neighbour’s.

We get as close as we can and show you a proof. We cannot guarantee an exact match to a PMS or brand colour reference, and a colour that is close but not exact is not a defect.

Artwork you send us

By sending us a logo you confirm you have the right to use it and to have it printed. We keep your artwork and your tag layout on file so you can reorder, and we do not use it for anything else. If you would rather we deleted it, ask and we will.

The quality of what you send limits the quality of what we can print. If the only logo available is small or blurred, we will tell you before printing, but we are not responsible for a soft result from a soft original.

Timing

We aim to send a proof within one business day and to ship within three business days of your approval, and we usually beat both. Those are targets, not promises, and we do not guarantee a delivery date.

Once a parcel is with the carrier, how long it takes is up to them. If a date genuinely matters, tell us before you order and we will say honestly whether it is achievable.

Payment

Orders are paid before production unless we have agreed invoice terms with you in advance. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added on deliveries within Alabama, where we are registered, unless you have given us a reviewed exemption certificate.

Shipping

Shipping is included on every order to a single address within the United States. We do not post tags individually to people at different addresses; a second address is a second order.

If a parcel arrives damaged, photograph it and email us within a week and we will sort it out.

If something goes wrong

Email us. Most problems are solved in one exchange. Where we are at fault we remake the work; where nobody is at fault we will still try to find something that works.

Our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect losses such as a delayed event, a missed conference, or the cost of hiring something else.

The legal part

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Alabama, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Alabama. If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still stands.

We may change these terms; the version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
